Tampa, FL (November 16, 2020) - A 51-year-old woman from Tampa was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday, November 15th. The crash was reported around 2:42 p.m. on Hillsborough Avenue.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 59-year-old man was traveling eastbound on Hillsborough at a high rate of speed and was continually changing lanes. As the man approached Countryway Boulevard, the driver lost control of his vehicle, and the car crossed over the median before entering into the westbound lanes. While in the westbound lane, the man's car collided with an SUV driven by the 51-year-old woman. The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no word on whether the man was injured in the crash.
Troopers are still investigating the accident at this time. There is no further information available.
