Lakeland, FL (August 15, 2020) - One person was sent to the hospital following a crash between two semi-trucks on State Road 33 in Lakeland. The crash happened around 12:20 a.m. on Friday, August 14th.

Police responded to the scene near the overpass for Interstate 4. There is no word on the cause of the collision at this time. One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Neither of the drivers has been identified at this time. The road remained closed for several hours while officials investigated at the scene.
