Haines City, FL (August 13, 2020) - A 30-year-old woman from Haines City was killed in a car accident that took place on Saturday, August 8th around 3:00 a.m. The crash took place on U.S. 17/92 near the exit with U.S. 27.

According to reports from the scene, a 43-year-old man from Haines City was driving a 2020 Toyota Corolla northbound on U.S. 27 when he exited onto U.S. 17/92. As he made the exit, his car left the roadway, spun around, and came to rest on the other side of the road. A 30-year-old passenger, Blanca Albarran, was killed in the crash. The driver and two other female passengers were taken to Lakeland Regional Health with non-life-threatening injuries. 

An investigation is ongoing by the Haines City Police Department at this time. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. No further details are available.
