Davie, FL (August 12, 2020) - Two men were killed and third was hospitalized following a rollover crash in Davie on Tuesday, August 11th. The accident was reported just after 7:00 p.m. on Griffin Road near Southwest 73rd Avenue.

The Davie Police and Fire Rescue responded to the scene. According to reports, a Kia was traveling westbound on Griffin Road when it attempted to make a U-turn. As the Kia turned, it was involved in a collision with a Ford Mustang that was traveling eastbound on Griffin. A passenger in the Kia along with the driver were both killed in the crash. The Mustang driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time. Police are still looking into the crash and attempting to determine if speed was a factor.

There is no additional information at this time and no charges have been issued.

Fatal car accidents take place in Florida about once every three hours. When a deadly crash occurs, the police must conduct a careful investigation into the crash in order to determine which driver was at fault. Sadly, hundreds of innocent victims are killed every year in crashes that were not their fault.
