Lakeland, FL (August 11, 2020) - A 19-year-old woman and a 10-month-old baby were hurt in a crash involving a stolen vehicle in Lakeland. The crash took place just before midnight on Monday on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

According to the Lakeland Police Department, 21-year-old Stephen Marra was driving an Infiniti EX35 that was confirmed stolen. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, however, Marra failed to stop. The chase continued onto George Jenkins Boulevard near Sloan Avenue. Marra then veered into the oncoming travel lanes and collided head-on with a Nissan Altima. The 19-year-old driver of the Altima was seriously hurt in the crash. Her 10-month-old baby was taken to Lakeland Regional Hospital with serious injuries. There is no further update on their conditions at this time. The crash caused the roadway to be closed for several hours while police investigated.
