Beverly Hills, FL (November 24, 2020) - Four people, including a young girl, suffered injuries in a car accident that took place on Monday in Beverly Hills. The crash was reported around Noon along County Road 491, near the intersection with West Hampshire Boulevard.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old girl from Ocala was driving a sedan in the southbound lanes of CR 491. At the same time, a 60-year-old Ocala woman was stopped ahead of her vehicle in an SUV. The 17-year-old failed to slow her vehicle and collided with the rear of the SUV. A second SUV behind the teen's vehicle swerved to avoid a crash and collided with another vehicle. The driver of the second SUV and a passenger suffered serious injuries, while a 5-year-old girl in the second SUV was critically hurt. A 66-year-old woman in another vehicle also sustained serious injuries according to the FHP.
There is no information at this time on any charges related to the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
