Okeechobee County, FL (November 25, 2020) - A 77-year-old man is dead following a car accident on U.S. 441 in Okeechobee County. The crash occurred around 6:00 p.m. on near the intersection with NW 30th Lane.
The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the crash scene. According to troopers, a 48-year-old man was traveling northbound on U.S. 441 in a pickup truck. At the same time, a 20-year-old man was traveling behind the 48-year-old man, also in a pickup truck. The 77-year-old man attempted to turn out of the parking lot of a Dollar Store when he collided with the first pickup. The crash caused both vehicles to be struck by the second pickup. The 77-year-old man died at the scene while the other two drivers suffered minor injuries. No one else was hurt in the crash.
Police are still investigating the accident at this time. No further details have been released.
