Dade City, FL (November 26, 2020) - A 13-year-old boy from Lane O'Lakes was killed in an ATV crash that took place on Wednesday near Dade City. The crash happened on a ranch property near State Road 52 and US 41.
According to a report, the accident happened around 1:45 p.m when the victim was driving an ATV westbound through a trail on the property. At the same time, an 11-year-old boy was driving an ATV northbound near the first ATV. The two vehicles entered a crossing area simultaneously and collided with one another. The 13-year-old boy suffered critical injuries and died at the crash scene after being thrown from the ATV. The 11-year-old was not injured in the accident. No one else was hurt in the accident.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident at this time. There is no further information available.
