St. Petersburg, FL (November 26, 2020) - A 58-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident that took place in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, November 24th. The crash took place around 9:00 p.m. on 54th Avenue N near 26th Street N.

According to a report from the scene, a 57-year-old man from Lakewood Ranch was traveling eastbound on 54th Avenue. At the same time, a pedestrian was walking southbound on 54th Avenue when he was hit by the vehicle. The pedestrian suffered critical injuries and died at the scene. His identity has not been released at this time. There is no word on whether he was in a crosswalk at the time he was struck. 

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash at this time and there is no word on whether any charges are expected. No additional information is available.
