Collier County, FL (August 9, 2020) - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal crash in Collier County on Sunday, August 9th. The crash was reported on Livingston Road near the intersection with Veterans Memorial Boulevard just after 6:00 a.m.
According to reports, troopers arrived at the scene around 6:30 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered at least one person suffering from critical injuries caused by the crash. The victim was later pronounced dead due to injuries sustained in the accident. There is no word at this time on the cause of the accident or the identity of the victim. Police remained on the scene following the crash and motorists were urged to find alternate routes of travel and to avoid the area if possible.
