Lutz, FL (August 6, 2020) - Two people were seriously hurt in a car four-car car crash in Lutz on Thursday, August 6th. The crash happened on US 41 near State Road 54.

The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene just after the accident occurred. According to troopers, a car was pulling out of a driveway and into the northbound lanes. As the car moved into an inside lane, it was struck from behind by another vehicle. The impact caused the first vehicle to careen into the southbound lanes where it collided with two other vehicles. Two people sustained serious injuries in the accident and were rushed to a local hospital. There is no word on their current condition. There were no other injuries reported.

The road was closed for several hours while police and rescue crews worked at the scene. No further details have been released at this time.
