Orange City, FL (November 28, 2020) - A man from Deltona was killed in a car accident that took place in Orange City on Friday, November 27th. The crash took place around 11:00 p.m. in the 400 block of Courtland Boulevard.
According to reports, Craig Richardson was walking in the northbound lanes of Courtland when he was hit by a four-door Toyota sedan. Rescue workers arrived at the scene and provided aid to Richardson but he ultimately died at the accident scene. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Richardson's dog was also killed in the crash.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident. There is no word on whether any charges are expected.
