Citra, FL - 21-Year-Old Killed in Pedestrian Crash on NE 30th Court

Citra, FL (August 6, 2020) - A 21-year-old from Citra was killed in a pedestrian crash on Thursday, August 6th. The crash took place on Northeast 30th Court near the intersection with 164th Lane.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim was walking on Northeast 30th Court when they were struck by Ford F-250 truck driven by a 65-year-old Citra resident. The crash was reported around 6:10 a.m. The unidentified pedestrian was later pronounced dead at the crash scene. The driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with the police investigation. The driver has not been identified by authorities.

There is no word on whether charges are expected at this time. No further details are available.
