Brooksville, FL - 59-Year-Old Bicyclist Hurt in HIt-and-Run on U.S. 41

Brooksville, FL (November 29, 2020) - A 59-year-old bicyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 41 in Brooksville. The crash took place around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, near Southern Hills Boulevard.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene. According to a report, the bicyclist was crossing U.S. 41 when he was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound in the center lane. The bicycle had activated lights at the time of the collision. The victim was seriously hurt in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver fled the scene following the accident and is still at large. 

The FHP is still investigating the crash at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 813-558-1800 or *FHP.
