Largo, FL - Police Officer Hurt After Crash on 134th Avenue

Largo, FL (August 5, 2020) - A police officer from Largo was hurt after being hit by a bus on Tuesday, October 4th. The crash took place just after 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of 134th Avenue and 121st Street N.

The officer was conducting surveillance in the area when a dog began chasing him. As the officer attempted to run from the dog, he was struck by a Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority Bus. The officer was taken to a Largo hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. There is no further word on his condition or an update on his identity at this time.

The Largo Police Department is investigating the wreck. There is no additional information available.
