Collier County, FL (December 2, 2020) - A man from Naples suffered serious injuries in a crash between a dump truck and a cement truck in Collier County. The crash happened on Wednesday, December 2nd around 8:25 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene on Oil Well Road near the intersection with Victory Lane. According to troopers, a dump truck was traveling westbound on Oil Wells Road when it veered off the roadway, drove onto a grassy median, and traveled into the path of a cement truck. The two vehicles collided head-on causing both to overturn. The dump truck driver was seriously hurt while the driver of the cement truck, a 34-year-old man from Fort Myers, suffered minor injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
