The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene in response to the crash. Troopers say that a 27-year-old woman was traveling northbound on Alabama Road. At the same time, the pedestrian from Lehigh Acres attempted to cross the road. The pedestrian was struck by the car as she was walking in the street. She later died at the crash scene while the driver was not injured. Police have declined to identify the victims at this time.

In 2019, there were more than 700 deaths due to pedestrian accidents in Florida. This number accounts for a high percentage of all traffic fatalities as pedestrians are at a much higher risk than others who are generally using the roadway. A Florida pedestrian accident must be carefully investigated in order to determine who should be held responsible and to later preserve your claims regarding the accident.
Our condolences go out to the victim's family following this fatal accident in Lehigh Acres.
