Osceola County, FL (December 4, 2020) - One person is dead after a four-vehicle crash along U.S. 192 in Osceola County. The crash was reported in the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 192 around 7:20 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the crash. Troopers say that the crash took place when a sedan was rear-ended by a pickup truck driven by a 59-year-old man from Merritt Island. The sedan then collided with a third and fourth vehicle in a chain-reaction style collision. The driver of the sedan was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to their injuries. There is no word on the victim's identity at this time. The pickup driver suffered minor injuries. No one else was injured as a result of the collision.
Troopers are still investigating but no charges have been announced at this time. There is no further information available.
