Port Richey, FL (December 6, 2020) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly accident in Port Richey on Friday. The crash happened on Regency Park Boulevard.
According to police, a 7-year-old boy was looking at Christmas lights with his mother when he tried to cross the street and was hit by a motorcycle. The child was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. The motorcycle driver fled the scene after striking the boy. The motorcycle is described as being orange and black and is believed to be a 2018-2020 Kawaski Ninja 400.
Police are still searching for the suspect. No further information is available at this time.
