Cape Coral, FL (August 3, 2020) - Police in Cape Coral were on the scene of an injury crash on Monday afternoon. The crash was reported in the 1700 block of NE Pine Island Road.

When rescue workers arrived at the scene they discovered that at least one person had been injured in the crash. Injured victims were treated and then taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. There is no word on their conditions at this time. Two of the eastbound lanes of Pine Island Road were closed while officers worked at the scene. Motorists were urged to find an alternate route for their travel due to delays and congestion at the crash scene.
