Pasco County, FL (August 2, 2020) - A 37-year-old man from Pinellas Park was killed and a 28-year-old woman was seriously hurt after a crash in Pasco County on Friday. The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Meridian Boulevard around 9:00 p.m.
According to reports, the man was driving a vehicle northbound on U.S. 19 when he tried to pass a second vehicle traveling in the same direction. The two cars, however, collided with one another. The first car flipped over after impact, ejecting the male driver and his female passenger. The driver, who has not been identified, was rushed to a local hospital where he later died. The female passenger suffered critical, life-threatening injuries. Both the driver and a passenger in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries. No other cars were involved in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation at this time. There is no additional information available.
