Melbourne, FL - Car Accident with Injuries Reported Saturday on US 1

Melbourne, FL (August 1, 2020) - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an injury accident in Melbourne on Saturday, August 1st. The crash was first reported just after midnight near the intersection with Post Road. 

Officials arrived at the scene around 1:00 a.m. When they arrived, troopers found one person suffering from undisclosed injuries caused by the accident. A roadblock was set up at the scene as officials and rescue workers investigated the crash and cleared away the wreckage. The lanes later reopened for travel after the accident was cleared from the roadway. There is no word at this time on what caused the collision to occur.

No further details have been released.
