Volusia County, FL - Two Teens Seriously Hurt in Crash on West Halifax Avenue

Volusia County, FL (July 30, 2020) - Two teens suffered critical injuries after a crash that took place in Volusia County on Thursday, July 30th. The crash happened around 3:00 a.m. in the 100 block of West Halifax Avenue near Oak Hill.

Deputies with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office were among the first to arrive at the scene after a resident called 911 when they heard the crash take place. When officials arrived, they discovered that seven juveniles were traveling in the vehicle at the time the accident happened. The driver of the vehicle lost control, ran off the road, and struck a tree. Two of the victims had to be extricated and were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other occupants were transported with minor injuries. There is no word on the identity of those involved.

No further details are available and an investigation is ongoing at this time.
