Marion County, FL (July 28, 2020) - Three paramedics suffered injuries after an ambulance was struck by an SUV in Marion County. The crash happened on Monday, July 27th on U.S. Highway 441 near the intersection of Northwest 35th Street in Ocala.
According to reports from the scene, an SUV collided with the front passenger side of the ambulance at the intersection. The ambulance had three crew members on board along with a patient. The thee rescue workers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The patient was taken to the hospital by another ambulance. It is unclear if the patient suffered any injuries as a result of the accident. No one else was hurt as a result of the accident.
There is no information on whether charges are expected to be filed. No further details have been released at this time.
