More than 700 people were killed in Florida pedestrian accidents in 2019. On average, two pedestrians are killed each day in these crashes throughout our state. Pedestrian crashes must be carefully investigated and often present complicated questions of how the crash took place and who should be held responsible. Relevant considerations include whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk and whether the accident could have been avoided had the driver exercised reasonable care.
Our condolences go out to the victim's family following this tragic pedestrian accident in Daytona Beach.
