Minneola, FL - Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on US 27

Minneola, FL (July 24, 2020) - A 23-year-old man from Minneola was killed in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday, July 22nd. The crash was reported around 8:15 p.m. on US Highway 27 near Apshuwa Road.

According to reports, the male victim was riding northbound on US 27 when the crash took place. At the same time, a 47-year-old woman from Sarasota was at the intersection of US 27 and Apshuwa. The woman pulled out into the roadway and collided with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike. He was rushed to South Lake Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The female driver suffered minor injuries. There is no word on whether any charges are expected.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating. There is no further information available at this time.
