Spring Hill, FL (December 9, 2020) - A 40-year-old woman from Hudson was killed in a three-car crash that took place on County Line Road in Spring Hill. The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9th.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist was traveling westbound on County Line Road approaching Spring Time Street. At the same time, a 50-year-old woman from Spring Hil was driving an SUV southbound on Spring Time while a 46-year-old man from New Port Richey was stopped and waiting to turn left onto Spring Time. The SUV driver failed to stop at the intersection and collided with the motorcyclist, causing the motorcycle to crash into the pickup. The SUV driver, later identified as Frida Charlene Ross, fled the scene of the accident but was later located by authorities.
The motorcyclist was killed in the crash. Her identity has not been released at this time. Troopers charged Ross with DUI manslaughter and leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
