Zephyrhills, FL (December 11, 2020) - A 40-year-old woman from Zephyrhills was killed in a crash between her SVU and a tractor-trailer on Friday morning. The accident took place around 7:30 a.m. on Otis Allen Road at the intersection with Old Lakeland Highway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the female victim was traveling eastbound on Otis Allen in an SUV when she came to a stop at the intersection. At the same time, a tractor-trailer driven by a  45-year-old Dade City man approached the intersection and turned left into the path of the SUV. The two vehicles crashed into one another. The woman died at the accident scene. The truck driver and his passenger suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

None of the victims have been identified at this time. No additional details are available.
