Nassau County, FL (December 11, 2020) - One person is dead following a serious crash on US 1 in Nassau County. The accident took place on Friday, December 11th near the Conner Cutoff.
According to a report from the scene, a truck and a semi-trailer collided with one another. Following the crash, the truck became engulfed in flames. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the scene along with rescue workers. According to officials, at least one person was killed in the accident although it is not clear if the deceased victim was in the truck or the semi-trailer. There is also no word on the cause of the accident at this time or the identity of the victim.
Troopers are still conducting an investigation into the collision. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed and no additional details have been released at this time.
