Gainesville, FL (December 12, 2020) - A 35-year-old woman from Gainesville suffered serious injuries when she was involved in a hit-and-run accident in the 500 block of SE Williston Road on Thursday. The crash took place around 4:30 p.m.

According to the Gainesville Police Department, Olga Svetlana Munoz Pogoretts was jogging on SE Williston when she was hit by a dark-colored SUV. The SUV fled the scene after striking Pogoretts. Rescue workers transported Pogoretts to UF Health Shands where she was listed in critical condition. The Gainesville Police Department is investigating the collision and is currently searching for a suspect.
