Lehigh Acres, FL (December 12, 2020) - One teenager is dead and another is seriously injured following a hit-and-run crash in Lehigh Acres on Friday, December 11th. The accident occurred on Elaine Avenue at the intersection with 42nd Street West.

According to a report, 19-year-old Adrian Zurita struck both boys near the intersection and then fled the scene before authorities could arrive. Investigators later located Zurita and charged him in connection with the crash. Both teens were rushed to the hospital following the collision. One was pronounced dead and the other sustained serious injuries and is in unknown condition at this time.

An investigation remains ongoing and no additional details are available.
