Fort Lauderdale, FL (December 13, 2020) - The Fort Lauderdale Police Department responded to a deadly crash on Friday, December 11th. The crash occurred in the 500 block of Northeast 3rd Avenue just after midnight. 

According to officers, a 2018 Porsche coupe was traveling near an intersection when the driver lost control, causing his car to collide with a concrete poll and another car before striking a tree and bursting into flames. One person was pulled from the burning vehicle and died at the scene. A second victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Police have not released any information on the victims at this time. An investigation is ongoing and no further details are available.

There is nothing more devastating and heartbreaking than to lose your loved one in a Florida car accident. According to statistics, there are about traffic accidents in Florida every day. In many cases, innocent crash victims will end up losing their lives because of the negligent actions of another driver.
