Fort Lauderdale, FL - One Killed, One Hurt in Car Accident on NE 3rd Avenue

Fort Lauderdale, FL (December 13, 2020) - The Fort Lauderdale Police Department responded to a deadly crash on Friday, December 11th. The crash occurred in the 500 block of Northeast 3rd Avenue just after midnight. 

According to officers, a 2018 Porsche coupe was traveling near an intersection when the driver lost control, causing his car to collide with a concrete poll and another car before striking a tree and bursting into flames. One person was pulled from the burning vehicle and died at the scene. A second victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Police have not released any information on the victims at this time. An investigation is ongoing and no further details are available.
