Tampa, FL (July 21, 2020) - A 55-year-old man and woman from Safety Harbor suffered critical injuries in a car accident that took place on I-275 in Hillsborough County. The crash happened around 4:50 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21st. 

According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 48-year-old man from Tampa was driving a tract-trailer northbound on I-275 when the driver made an improper U-turn. Following the turn, the truck collided with a van driven by the man from Safety Harbor. The man and his wife were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries while the truck driver was not hurt in the crash. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time.

The truck driver was given a ticket for making an improper turn.
