Last year about 700 people lost their lives in Florida pedestrian crashes. This number is alarmingly high and represents the continued problems that pedestrians face in crashes involved vehicles. When a pedestrian is involved in an accident, they have a good chance of being seriously hurt or killed. This is because pedestrians have no protection from the force of serious contact caused by a car accident. Police will continue to investigate this crash in Marion County.
Our condolences go out to the family of the deceased victim during this difficult time.
