Kissimmee, FL (July 19, 2020) - A 22-year-old woman was killed in a Kissimmee car accident on Sunday, July 19th. The crash happened on Buenaventura Boulevard near Wagon Circle just after midnight.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes, the unidentified woman was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling southbound on Buenaventura. Suddenly, and for unknown reasons, the car left the roadway to the right and crashed into a tree. The woman died at the scene from her injuries. The driver suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. A one-year-old boy in the vehicle sustained only minor injuries. All occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

An investigation remains ongoing at this time. 

There are about 1,100 traffic accidents in Florida every day. Last year, more than 3,000 people lost their lives due to Florida car accidents. Both drivers and passengers alike are at equal risk of suffering serious injuries or death when a crash occurs. The prevalence of negligent drivers on our roadways means that no one is ever truly safe from the dangers of a Florida car accident.
