Jupiter, FL (July 16, 2020) - Eight people suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash that took place in Jupiter on Wednesday, July 15th. The crash was reported around 9:20 a.m. near the intersection of West Indiantown Road and South Pennock Lane. 

According to officials, there were a total of three vehicles involved in the crash. There is no word at this time on what caused the accident to occur. Following the collision, at least one of the cars involved burst into flames. Two of the victims were taken to Jupiter Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries while the six other victims were rushed to St. Mary's Medical Center in critical condition. No one involved in the crash has been identified at this time. The roadway was closed for several hours near the crash scene and motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel. 

No further details have been released at this time.

Last year in Florida, there were approximately 250,000 injury accidents reported throughout the state. Multi-vehicle accidents can be difficult to investigate and it may be challenging to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the crash. Police must carefully evaluate the crash scene in order to determine the cause of the crash and which driver should be held responsible.
