Clearwater, FL - 33-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Seminole Boulevard

Clearwater, FL (July 15, 2020) - Police were on the scene of a deadly pedestrian crash in Clearwater on Tuesday, July 14th. The crash was first reported just after 10:00 p.m. on 124th Avenue North near Seminole Boulevard. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene.

According to troopers, a 33-year-old man from New Port Richey was walking near Seminole Boulevard. At the same time, a car was traveling on Seminole Boulevard in the same direction. The car struck the pedestrian. Rescue workers arrived at the scene to render aid but ultimately the pedestrian died at the scene. His identity has not been released at this time. The driver of the vehicle has been identified only as a 25-year-old woman from Clearwater. She did not suffer any injuries in the accident. Troopers have not yet determined a cause of the crash. There were no other injuries reported. 

At this time, there is no word on whether any charges are expected against the Clearwater woman. An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
