Aloma, FL (December 25, 2020) - A driver was killed and a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after a Christmas Day crash near Aloma. The accident occurred around 3:00 a.m. on Forsyth Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry was traveling on Forsyth Road when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his car. The Camry left the roadway and struck a curb and a sign before flipping and coming to rest. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene after being partially ejected from the car. A nearby pedestrian was struck by a part of the vehicle, causing serious injuries. The pedestrian, identified only as a 21-year-old, was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The FHP is investigating the accident at this time. There is no additional information available.
