St. Johns County, FL (December 27, 2020) - Two people were killed and four others suffered injuries following a head-on crash in St. Johns County on Saturday. The crash happened around 10:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of State Road 207.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 31-year-old man from St. Augustine was driving a pickup truck southbound when he collided with a second pickup that was traveling the wrong way. The driver of the second truck suffered serious injuries while two female passengers inside that vehicle were killed. The driver of the first vehicle and two of his passengers were also hurt but the extent of their injuries is not clear at this time. The crash caused the southbound lanes to remain closed for several hours while police investigated the incident. There is no word on the cause of the accident and no one involved was immediately identified.
