North Lauderdale, FL - Woman Killed in State Road 7 Hit-and-Run Crash

North Lauderdale, FL (December 31, 2020) - A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash that took place in North Lauderdale on Tuesday, December 29th. The accident happened in the 1400 block of State Road 7, near U.S. 441. 

Investigators with the Broward Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene just after the accident took place. According to a report, the pedestrian attempted to cross SR 7 when she was hit by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene immediately after striking the pedestrian. The woman was struck again by another driver who remained at the scene. Rescue workers pronounced the woman dead upon their arrival. Police are still looking for the first driver at this time. There is no information on the driver's identity or a description of the vehicle at this time.

An investigation is ongoing.
