Lee County, FL (July 11, 2020) - One person was killed and two others were hurt in a car accident that took place on Saturday in Lee County. The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Douglas Avenue North near 7th Street West.
According to reports, a 22-year-old man from Hialeah was traveling in a sedan with two passengers. The driver failed to stop at a stop sign, veered off the roadway and then collided with a tree before coming to rest in the grass. The unidentified driver died at the scene. A 21-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries while a 24-year-old passenger was seriously hurt. There is no further word on the conditions of the injured victims.
Police are still investigating the accident. There are no further details available.
