The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating and there is no information on whether charges are expected.

Florida is home to many motorcyclists. With a temperate climate, it is possible to enjoy riding a motorcycle on a year-round basis in our state. While motorcycle riding can be fun and enjoyable, it is not without risks. Each year, over 80% of motorcycle crashes end up with injuries for the rider. Motorcycle accidents account for 15% of annual fatalities in Florida traffic accidents. In cases where the motorcyclist survives the crash, they are often faced with devastating injuries that can take a long time to heal and involve substantial medical treatment.

We extend our thoughts and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the motorcyclist who was injured in this crash.
