Columbia County, FL - One Killed, Two Hurt in Car Accident on Northeast Christie Street

Columbia County, FL (July 7, 2020) - One person is dead and two others injured following a car accident in Columbia County on Monday, July 6th. The crash happened on U.S. 441.

According to police, a 45-year-old Lake City man was traveling southbound on 441 when he crossed the centerline and struck a northbound vehicle driven by a 57-year-old woman from Lake City. The Lake City man was killed in the crash while the woman and her 34-year-old passenger were transported to Lake City Medical Center with serious injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation at this time. There is no word on the identity of the victims.

No additional details have been released at this time.
