Tallahassee, FL (July 7, 2020) - Three vehicles, including two-tractor trailers were involved in a crash that took place in Tallahassee on Monday, July 7th. The crash was reported in the eastbound lanes of I-10 near mile marker 199. 

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to FHP,  a 38-year-old male was driving a tractor-trailer eastbound on I-10. At the same time, a second tractor-trailer was also traveling eastbound on I-10 directly in front of the first truck. An SUV was traveling eastbound on I-10 directly beside the second truck. The driver of the first tractor-trailer lost control of his truck for unknown reasons and collided with the back of the second truck. The SUV was hit from behind and veered across the eastbound lanes before coming to rest against a concrete barrier.

Both truck drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries while the SUV driver was not hurt. The Leon County Sheriff's Office, along with the Tallahassee Police Department also responded to the scene. No further details are available at this time.

Reportable crashes take place in Florida about every 92 seconds. The dangers of being on the highway are well-known. With congested traffic, high speed limits, and large commercial vehicles, traveling on major highways can be a hazard for motorists. It is important for drivers to always exercise care and caution in order to reduce their risk of being injured in a serious accident.
