With year-round warm temperatures, there are boats out and about on the water at almost all times. Although boating can be an enjoyable activity for many, Florida boating accidents do occur frequently. There are hundreds of boating accidents reported every year in our state with many of them causing catastrophic injuries and even death. Boaters should always exercise appropriate care and caution and be on the lookout for other boaters as well as swimmers and anyone else on the waterways.
Our thoughts are with the family of the young victim and we hope for a complete recovery following this tragic incident in Cocoa Beach.
