Although motorcycles account for less than 5% of all registered motor vehicles in our state, they also account for near 15% of all reported traffic fatalities. Additionally, motorcycle crashes have a very high rate of injury with more than 80% of these accidents resulting in some type of injuries for the motorcyclist.
