Pinellas Park, FL (July 4, 2020) - A man from Pinellas Park suffered critical injuries in a multi-vehicle crash that took place on Friday, July 3rd. The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of 49th Street N and 94th Avenue.
Police say that 56-year-old Leonard Matthews was driving a 2000 Toyota Corolla on 49ht Street when he attempted to make a left turn onto 94th Avenue. While making the turn, Matthews' vehicle collided with a 2003 Honda Accord. The Accord then collided with a 2016 Maserati that was stopped for a red light at the intersection. Matthew was taken to a hospital with critical injuries following the crash. No one else was hurt in the collision.
An investigation remains ongoing. There have been no charges filed at this time.
