Lake County, FL - Two Killed in Head-On Crash on State Road 50

Lake County, FL (July 2, 2020) - A couple was killed in a head-on car accident on State Road 50 in Lake County. The crash happened on Thursday, July 2nd.

According to police, 49-year-old James Joiner was driving a pickup truck westbound on SR 50 when he crossed over into the eastbound lanes. Joiner continued traveling the wrong way before colliding head-on with a Honda Accord. A man and his fiance were in the Honda Accord at the time of the crash. They were killed in the accident. Joiner was not injured in the accident. He was later arrested and charged with two counts of vehicular homicide. No additional details were reported.
