Naples, FL (January 11, 2021) - A 29-year-old man from Naples was seriously hurt in a motorcycle accident on Monday in East Naples. The crash happened on Palm Street at the intersection with Grouper Drive.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene. According to a report from police, the man was traveling northbound on Palm Street. At the same time, a 73-year-old man from West Roxbury, MA was traveling southbound on Palm Street. The 73-year-old man attempted a left turn onto Grouper and collided with the motorcyclist. The rider was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Troopers cited the 73-year-old man for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.

An investigation is ongoing. There is no further information available at this time.
