Orange County, FL (January 14, 2021) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a hit-and-run accident with injuries in Orange County. The accident took place around 6:45 p.m. on North Orange Blossom Trail at the intersection with Benita Street in Kissimmee.
When troopers arrived at the scene, they discovered one person suffering from injuries as a result of the accident. The driver who caused the crash fled the scene before authorities could arrive. The victim was treated but their condition is not known at this time. Authorities have not provided any information on the events that led up to the collision nor have they provided a description of the vehicle involved.
An investigation is ongoing at this time. There is no further information available.
A hit-and-run accident in Florida often leads to serious injuries for victims. Although drivers in our state are legally required to remain at a crash scene, many of them choose not to for various reasons.
